The Euro Pro Connection

There are a number of big races on the European Pro cycling calendar this weekend. Attending these races are a number of US riders with mid-western roots, let's summarize who is racing what this weekend.

Bjorn Selander (Radio Shack) from Hudson, WI is competing in Spain's Volta Catalunya, supporting Levi Leipheimer and is currently ranked 161st (ouch) (foto from Velonews).


Christian Vande Velde (Lemont, IL) Garmin - Transitions is competing in the Volta Catalunya as well and is currently 44th.

Matt Busche (Radio Shack) from Wauwatosa, WI will be riding in the Criterium International this weekend held this year in Corisca, supporting Lance Armstrong. This will be televised on VS TV both Saturday and Sunday as well as online at Cycling Fans. This is "Flip's" first time in Europe so let's wish him well on this very tough weekend of racing!

Busche just writes in his blog that he crashed during training this week. He hurt his thumb but is otherwise okay. Go Flip!
