MWCCC - MidWest Collegiate Cycling Conference

With the season opener race held in Kenosha this past Sunday, many of you may have asked yourself I wonder who's going to show? or Where's Loberg? or Kyle Jacobson? Well, it so happens that there was a three day series of collegiate racing going on near Indianapolis, IN. Saturday featured a road race in the morning with distances between 28 and 45 miles followed in the evening with a 5 mile 'naked' time trial (get you mind out of the gutter) where aero equipment was not allowed, then on Sunday was a criterium.

You can find the full results here.

The series continues near St. Louis this coming weekend with a road race on Saturday and a criterium on Sunday. FLYER

The 2010 Collegiate Nationals will be held in Madison, WI this coming May. According to this University of Wisconsin news release:

"The national championship, from May 7-9, will include a road race, possibly on the proposed 2016 Chicago Olympic course, a criterium through downtown Madison, and a team time trial at a location yet to be determined. The nearly 300 teams and estimated 800 athletes will lodge, dine and shop in downtown Madison.
Wauwatosa based Team Sports Inc., a cycling event management company, will serve as the event promoter and will provide logistical support for the event. Additionally, the Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau will help coordinate efforts with both the city and local businesses. The cycling team is working closely with both Team Sports Inc. and the visitors' bureau to ensure a successful event.
